IN WHICH I CAN FINALLY ANNOUNCE MY NEW BOOK!

As you guys may have seen a little while ago, my newest book deal was announced in Publisher’s Weekly and I’m THRILLED that I finally get to share! I was sitting on the news for a little while, yearning to be able to tell you guys, because so many of you have written to ask what’s next. Well… here it is!

*AH!*

THESE UNCLOSED FEW will be with you guys in 2018! I know, I know, it’s a while to wait, but this book is so epic and creepy and wonderful that I hope it’ll be worth it for you.

I actually started writing/conceptualising this book some time in 2015. It was going to be the book after THE DEAD HOUSE, but it was so big and complex that I simply wasn’t ready. Books take time to germinate, some more than others. And this one… this one needed thoughts. Deep ones.

Some things about THESE UNCLOSED FEW:

  1. The title might change (it happens!)
  2. This book is about girls
  3. Separated by centuries
  4. All connected to one terrible man
  5. And one haunted mill house on one very nasty mountain
  6. Plus there might be kissing between girls (my fave)

That’s pretty much all I can give you at the moment, but look out for more hints online, because I sneak in as many as I possibly can *grin*. Here’s one I posted today:

When Silla and her little sister, Nori, escape London and their abusive father, Aunt Cath’s country house feels like a safe haven. Leaving the smog and fear behind, the girls have the love and freedom they never had in their violent home. But slowly, ever so slowly, things begin to unravel.

Aunt Cath locks herself in the attic and spends day and night pacing; every day the surrounding forest inches slowly towards the house; a mysterious boy appears from the enclosing wood offering friendship, and Nori claims that a man watches them from the dark forest. A man with no eyes who creeps ever closer. . .

Tomorrow.

I am excited.

I am nervous.

I am thankful.
